The louder the music-the people drink more alcohol

Scientists have found that with loud music alcohol want stronger. In a study conducted in France back in 2008, scientists wondered: why in the nearest bar is always so loud music?

First, they looked at the existing publications, from which they learned that the connection of music with alcohol consumption was talked about before. For example, in bars without music people spend much less time, but it is necessary to turn on the music center, and alcohol consumption increases. In another study, there was a correlation between the tempo of music and the intensity of absorption of drinks: the faster the music, the stronger the thirst.
However, it is the influence of loudness to French scientists has not yet been considered. In their study involved 40 unsuspecting beer lovers sitting in a bar where the volume of music changed. The normal level was 72 dB, high-88 dB. According to the results of the study, at a high level of beer consumption increased by 31% — from 2.6 mugs per person to 3.4. Moreover, the participants of the experiment drank beer for 11.5 minutes, when the music played loudly, and for 14.5 minutes, when it became quieter.
The reason for this the researchers identified increases with the loud music, the arousal level: the subjects were drinking beer faster and order more. As it turned out, loud music affects social interactions: talking at this level of noise is uncomfortable, and the less you talk — the more you drink.
