RETRO IS QUEEN IN MY HOUSE
Its funny If you see my wife and I walking down the street you would think what is she doing with him?? They are a very odd couple. not for physical features or anything I think we are a pretty good looking couple well my wife is beautiful (that´s her above) I give myself a 4 ( Good thing I make her laugh), I am not overly tall and she is not short by any standards no, its the way we dress.
I am not fashion conscience at all. I am a t shirt and jeans guy, I may wear the occasional shirt now and then
( Special occasions like going out to dinner, Christmas or court case ) but the majority of the time I am simple when it comes to clothes. comfort over fashion.
Now my lovely wife on the other hand sweet Jesus.... She is a vintage queen anything retro and from circa 1900 to the 1950´s and she knows it, wants it and wears it. Now don´t get me wrong she doesn't spend 1000´s on clothes she finds most of her wardrobe in the second hand stores and vintage shops around Madrid.
These places are clothing goldmines, I find the odd thing every so often too, usually a t shirt.
Its gotten to the point where she now has her own webpage dedicated to vintage and retro clothes.
which she now designs and sells on line. She even designed and created her wedding dress when we got married in May.
Yes thats her and I know I am very lucky ........
She worked very hard on this and I have to say i was speechless when i finally saw her in the dress.
I do ask her what is it with old clothes why does she not go for new fashion ? and her reply is.......... everything that is new is boring and basically regurgitated styles from the early 20th century any way so, why buy overly priced knock offs when i can get the real thing for 4- 5 euros ? I do have to agree with her on the pricing of Brand clothing is ridiculous.
The reason I am writing this is I would love for like minded people who love retro and vintage clothes to go to her site and see what she can do, Lau is very talented and she puts a hell of a lot of work into her site and designs and id like for people to show her some support.
