Review - The Man In The High Castle
Why you should watch it
IMAGE CREDITThe series takes place in an alternate 1962 where Nazis have won the war with the bombing of Washington and the US is divided into two states: The Greater Nazi Reich and The Japanese Pacific States. Already in the pilot episode you start to connect the dots and you think you see what's going on here, the girl from the resistance calls her sister, then apparently dies(or did she?), and then her sister replaces her on some kind of a mission to pass on to a member of the Resistance(or is he?) one of the many microfiche films which are apparently made by a man only known as ''The Man In The High Castle'' and show an alternate history in which nazis lost the war.
IMAGE CREDITBut as you continue to watch episode after episode and get to know each character, you see a much larger ''game'' with many ''players'' scheming for themselves, for the Reich, for their families or only to stay alive in this world. This is one of the best tv shows I've seen in a while, with a spectacular plot, that keeps your eyes glued to the screen to the very end. Also good balance between good and evil portrayed wonderfully with some great acting as well.
Future season potential
IMAGE CREDITFor me the second season is better then the first because, you see The Man In The High Castle in the first episode of the season and you see explanations and revelations for some things you didn't get answers to in the first season. I think this tv show has even greater potential for future seasons, as there are always some questions left to be answered in the next season, and as you get the answers it gets more and more exciting with series finale giving you a growing satisfaction as you wait for the next season to come out.
