Everything related to love is seen bad, and if you're seen being affectionate in public they send the regulators to take you to the labs so you can be repaired.
Everybody watches what you do, there is always somebody that sees you or listens to you... In this book we see how Lena a teenager who is 17 years old and living in this world that is normal to her, is anxious about the day of her operation.
Lena is a girl that follow the rules and is extremely carefully about her behavior, she fears that she can have the sickness because her mother had the Delirium, the knows that the people watch her because they think she is like her mother, she wants to prove the opposite thing, that she is like all the other people, to do this she has to survive some months until the day of her operartion, but when the date is near something unexpected happens... She falls in love and brings risks to this society.
In spite of the lenght of the book it makes you get into the story because we live in a society where love is seen like something normal and when you read like is something that the people fear it becomes interesting.
