An Evening With David Icke In TorontosteemCreated with Sketch.

in #review7 years ago

Known as one of the most controversial conspiracy theorists, David Icke has known ridicule from the mainstream of society for almost 3 decades. @lindsayimwold and I had the opportunity to see him speak live at his 'World Wide Wake Up Tour' this past Saturday in Toronto, Canada and I must say that it was intense. I'd known of his work since 2006, about 11 years, and I'd read several of his books and watched almost all of his YouTube videos. The information was not entirely new to me but seeing it presented live was amazing.

It's easy to dismiss public figures and independent researchers who have unconventional views on government, politics, religion & the fabrics of reality but some of the ridicule Icke endures is pretty ludicrous. Along with his mountains of research into abuse and corruption, he brings an overall message of peace, love, harmony & understanding, regardless of our vast differences. I don't think I've ever agreed 100% with anyones views, and that's ok...what's wrong with accepting other people's perspectives on life and trying to understand one another?

Icke spoke for about 10 1/2 hours, with breaks of course, otherwise my brain would have exploded and my butt would have melded into the seat. It was really an amazing overview of his nearly 30 years of work, combined with new groundbreaking research & empowering information on how we can improve ourselves and improve our world. The tour still has some European dates and I'd highly recommend going to see the show if you've got the opportunity.

We got front row seats, which was pretty badass. It was a secondary venue from the original one that was booked for the event. David Icke frequently has problems with getting banned from speaking in certain countries and the original venue pulled out at the last minute. It's laughable that an anti-war, pro liberty speaker would be banned....but not surprising given the level of ignorance in this world of ours.

David's son Gareth is a musician and he performed during the various breaks throughout the day. He's a really great singer/songwriter and that was a big highlight. One, to see father and son working together and two, because the music was really good. Overall, it was an awesome time. If you've got an open mind and are into abstract concepts of history, religion, politics, metaphysics & aliens.....check out David Icke. If not, hey that's cool. I hope at least you'll always be tolerant of others' views in a non-violent type of way and follow The Golden Rule.

Icke is one of my favorite speakers. I might not be able to believe everything he says but you have to give him credit for putting himself out there like that!!!

For sure! You're right, the man has super confidence.

Cool! I still don't know what to make of David Icke myself. :) I used to think he was ridiculous... then, of course I listened to what he had to say and I couldn't help but wonder if there was some truth behind his words.... I still haven't made up my mind about him.

He certainly is, as you say, one of the more controversial speakers out there today!

The topics that he covers are so varied and whether you agree or disagree with his points, it's impossible to deny how thorough the research is and his overall positive, peaceful message. Some of his stuff over the years is certainly ridiculous if you just skim over it, I've thought so myself. But after reading his in-depth analysis (sometimes hundreds of pages on one topic YAWN) you end up going, 'Damn. Well, now I see your point'. Thanks for commenting. :)

He is a serious gatekeeper, designed to keep you from the absolute truth. His truth is about 90%

He's a second level gatekeeper. He's misguiding you.

Interesting. What do you mean by Second Level Gatekeeper?

How many levels are there? I've been thinking about this concept recently. Would Julian Assange & Wikileaks be examples of gatekeepers & if so what level? (I'm guessing 1)

I hadn't heard of Icke before, but I now listened to a video by him about Google and Facebook. I think conspiracy theorists are people who try to apply a meaningful pattern or narrative to things that happen, they assume that there is an intention or plan behind it all. That assumption in itself (whether it is well founded or not) can expand your understanding, make you see interesting connections between things, regardless of whether there is a conscious plan there or not.

there's very much to this. So much so, he's a gatekeeper to hide true truth from you. Go ahead and doubt if you want, the world is not what you think it is.

Good comment. Yeah, regardless of if it's true or not, it gets people thinking outside of the box.

He really is a brilliant speaker who can speak for hours without notes.
Yes, some things sound a bit odd, but on the whole it all makes sense. (The jury is out on the lizards).
How great that you managed to get front row seats.

Yeah, the lizards I'm still unsure of...If it's the reptilian part of the brain that governs fight or flight, fear based survival and violence that elites utilize that makes perfect sense....but actual physical shape shifting....pretty out there. If it's true....I don't want to find out it's true because that'd mean I'd see it first hand. Thanks for the comment! :)

Is this our lovable off-his-trolley David Icke who thinks the royal family are in fact Lizards? http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/david-icke-says-royal-family-8011156 and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Icke I remember watching him reporting on football on the TV before he lost the plot.

Yup! That's him. He barely mentioned the lizards throughout the event. I'm in the US so I never saw him in his younger broadcasting days.

He was sane then. LOL
