Positive review of Japanese product

in #reviewyesterday (edited)

When I was planning my trip to Japan I had a lot of recommendations from people who had been there. Everyone was telling me that their beauty products are top notch, and one can go crazy shopping there. I was thinking to myself, how good can it be. These days everything is available everywhere. When I was there and shopping, to be honest, first of all I was very confused of what to buy. There were so many options that one can be left totally confused. I wanted to specifically buy some hair care products, as such I am particular about them and use only specific clean and organic brands. First of all everything is mentioned in Japanese on the products so it is difficult to decide. I kept checking them on google and finalizing them.

I got my hands on this Shampoo, Botanist brand, I checked for their reviews and there were some great reviews, also it's a safe product free from harsh chemicals, sulfates and parabens, so I decided to buy it.
Yesterday I used the Shampoo and I was blown by the result. It is an excellent one. Left my hair so smooth and manageable after the wash, no hair fall, which is again a common problem here in middle east region, due to the water. I loved the product, and now want to make it my permanent shampoo. The problem is I only bought one packet, and this is going to last me for around 2 months, then after that what.

I checked if I could buy it here in Oman or in India, and I was blown by the prices that it is being sold here at. In Japan I bought it for 1300 Yen, which is around 8 dollars, equivalent to 800 Rs. In India on Amazon, I found the price and it was priced 24000/- Rs, which is 250$. I could not believe it the kind of price difference. Then I checked if I could buy in Oman, again not available in any shops so I need to buy it online, and the price here is also ridiculous. It is 29 OMR which is equal to 7143/- Rs. Much lesser then the Indian price, but still very high then the Japanese price.

This the Amazon India price 24284 INR

This is the Oman price being sold online

And now let's see for how much it is actually being sold in Japan. It is 2640 Yen, which is equal to 1550 INR for 2, which means one is for 775 INR. :-(

If I knew this is the price difference, I would have bought at least 5 to 6 to last me for some time. Now I am thinking whether it is worth it or I should just use this one and continue with my old one again. The thing is I have fallen in love with this product just in one time use, because of it's result. Now let's see if I go ahead or not.

One product cost can vary so much in different parts of the world and I can only imagine the profit margins and the taxes, customs, duties and courier charges attached to it.
