After staking several EOS accounts to REX (Resource Exchange) I've finally EARNED my first EOS token!!!





Woooot!

At the moment, the ROI is not that hot. It took almost a month to earn 1.33 EOS tokens.
Some people are little disappointed but I think they might change their tune in the not so distant future.

The Hope is that with greater interest and demand for building Dapps and services on the EOSIO platform, the greater the demand for network resources will be and more leasing/borrowing of CPU and Bandwidth, and thus greater returns for lenders.

Block-1 is expected to make a major announcement next week which they have been promising with their #JuneIsComing teaser. There's been a lot of speculation as to what that might be whether they might reveal a major partnership, a new blockchain social media platform, a solution to the Identity issue or a slew of announcements. So far, most people are predicting that the big announcement will be the Social Media platform or Steemit 2.0 and that it would be name MEOS (not the best name in my opinion).

However, Block-1 has decided to try to calm the increasing hype going around the EOS community and said that the June announcement was their biggest announcement since the mainnet launch but that people should keep their expectations in check.

They have also made it clear that they do indeed plan on releasing a social media platform but it will not be named MEOS (thank god). If they end up creating a live streaming or youtube platform I hope to god it's not called - Vid-EOS - or if they create a blockchain dating app please don't go for the low hanging fruit of - Rom-eos - or any other lame play on words. Despite my strong opinion here I will completely contradict myself in the following sentence. If they do start a a blockchain bull-riding Dapp I could get behind - Rod-eos. That's a straight winner right there ;)


Still, no word just yet on if the June announcement will actually be the social media unveiling or something completely different.

All in all, I'm pretty impressed with the speed of the growth on EOS and all the actual development that's going on over there. I'd be more than happy to make 2 EOS per month when the price of EOS reaches $100-1000 USD ;) Now that would be something truly worth celebrating.
