RE: Tech Update - A New World of Robots Doing Backflips!

in #robot7 years ago

Brilliant post @techblogger. I couldnt agree more with you thoughts here..
"I'll be honest about my thoughts regarding the deployment of robots that work like humans. I don't see this application doing much to help humanity as in my opinion there are already plenty of humans that are in dire need of opportunity and training, essentially they are without a job and capable of learning and our world would be more inclusive if it devoted resources to making them a bigger part of society."

I mean we live on a planet of over a billion people most of whom are unaccounted for, out of jobs, living in denial, The list goes on, i think what the world should do now is focus more on how to improve the human life, and not creating more human like being (humanoids), yes!! because in some climes such as Saudi Arabia , robots are being giving animate attributes, recently Saudi Arabia granted a robots citizenship. The first of its kind.

Thanks for weighing in on this! I'm aware of the 'Sophia' situation in Saudi Arabia. I thought it was just a PR stunt but at the same time it seems extremely irresponsible when so many refugees are helpless in trying to get citizenship somewhere. It's a sad state of affairs indeed!

Sure its does seem irresponsible, more also, i think its a problem of misplaced priority. We just need to get our priorities right...
Its a pleasure contributing to this discourse, i must say.
Brilliant post once again. @techblogger
