Russian Analyst: When the Right is divided on Russia - expect minimal results

According to Russian journalist and analyst, Dmitry Babich, the status quo has won in the European Parliament elections because of an overarching reason that has split the Right: the attitude towards Russia. He mentions Guy Verhofstadt's address that called all those unfavourable entities to his own policy as ''Putin's fifth columnists''; Salvini's Lega Nord, Brexit, the Freedom Party of Austria. This was not simply a few fellows in the European sphere, but was the leitmotif of a large number of European media. Now that the results are in, this short analysis from a Russian standpoint should serve as an interesting starting point to what we can expect ; at this point, with this split in attitudes towards Russia - minimal results and a victory for the status quo with new colours.
