Bangabandhu-1 launched a satellite launch in Bangladesh with the huge possibilities of opening it in space. The satellite will illuminate the image of ICT and broadcasting industry as well as the image and communication technology.

Through the satellite, the remote areas of the country will be covered under Internet and telecommunication facilities.

The satellite, located 119.1 degrees east longitude, will come under the weather forecast and monitoring of natural disasters.

If the current telecommunication system is broken by any natural disaster in Bangladesh, then this communication system can be maintained throughout the country. The satellite network will play an important role in this regard. State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak said three types of services are available from a communications satellite - 1. Broadcast, 2. Telecommunication and 3. Data base

State Minister for Information and Technology said that through this, only foreign currency will not be saved, as well as the unused portion of Nepal, Bhutan will earn approximately 60 million US dollars per year. The amount of Bangladeshi coins is more than 500 crore rupees. As it is, the cost will come in 8 years. BTRC said that the internet bandwidth is another product of the Bangabandhu-1 satellite, that there will be a total of 1,600 MHz frequencies in 40 transponders.

Satellite will have its own visas through which banks and other corporate entities can access voice, data and internet services through their own network.

For the whole of Bangladesh it is a development mile blade.
