Remember me when you come in Your kingdom

«Remember me when you come in Your kingdom» Luke 23:42.

Matthew Henshaw included his name in the Guinness Book of World Marks in an unusual way. After swallowing a 40-centimeter long sword, he tied an 18 kilogram sack of potatoes to the handle of his back and held it for 5 seconds (this is not recommended).

Henshaw and others like him have done everything possible to make their names remembered in the world's most famous trademark book. The longing for immortality forces people to do many things -some of them extraordinary, and others, bizarre.

The immortality that Jesus offers has nothing to do with anything we do. In fact, after giving His disciples the authority to do truly extraordinary things (Luke 10: 17-19), Jesus said: "But do not rejoice that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in the heavens "(v. 20).

On Golgotha, a thief whose name is not mentioned believed in that message just in time (Luke 23: 40-42). He understood that eternal life had nothing to do with what he had done-good or bad. It had to do with what Jesus was doing-His own life so that even the unworthy could be welcomed into heaven by God. The important thing is that God remembers us, and not others.

Reflection: Our lives matter because God loves us.

This act of demonstrating Jesus' love for humanity is amazing! It is the perfect plan of God where the only thing he longs for is how men repent and believe in him from the heart because the rest of God does not look at him, he just looks at the heart!
Thanks for sharing @jenniferbrito.DTB

thanks to the love of God for all of us we are embraced by the sacrifice of the cross, so great love is still inexplicable, it is the most glorious fact of the Lord and that does not compare to any Guinness record.

God bless you sister
