The faculty in the space sciences of the great national autonomous university of the country of Honduras, managed to open a call for the master's degree for an academy of the Central American region in astronomy and astrophysics, this had its beginnings in the years of 1998 and for that then it was possible to obtain a live financing, but this only for some of the students of this organization of the American states with a very limited number of teachers, make a new call that tends to represent the seventh promotion this is for students who are graduates of physics, mathematics, engineering or also students who have a high knowledge in all these subjects, these students have to meet some requirements such as, have a tertiary degree incorporated in the alma mater, accredited and have a minimum of 70 % academic index, curriculum and is duly documented among others.

Martha Talavera specializes in the faculty of special sciences says, recently they were made some procedures for this new call, this to open a new promotion and this would be the promotion number 7 of the masters and astronomy of astrophysics, is this promotion invite all students who have o'que who are studying subjects such as physics, mathematics or some electrical engineering that can be applied in this master's degree where much knowledge of physics and mathematics is needed, also admitted students who are in the Central American region, the call has been made at the Central American level, historically we have had 1 or 2 students from Central America who have been able to complete this master's degree.

The call began on the 19th of April and ended on the 18th of May, with a deadline for receipt of documents until May 31st. The quota is set at 25 but generally characteristics that has the mastery has never been completed all these quotas, the master's degree in astronomy and astrophysics began in 1998 with its first promotion, and from that year to this date we achieved 5 full promotions and until now that is the number 6 from which we already have two students who have already presented their thesis defense, only that it is necessary to do the graduation process, until now we have 14 students who are already graduated with all their complete process and 2 who are already they are in the process of doing graduation procedures and we also have five students who are already working on their research project, we hope that before the end of this year 2018 all of them study Graduates are already in order to complete the 6 promotions of the master's degree in astronomy, this is what Martha Talavera says specialized in the faculty of special sciences

The quality and level of the master's degree in astronomy and astrophysics, were received to be evaluated in an international accreditation process, which are directed by the technical commission of evaluation of the accreditation system in the region for postgraduate studies of the Central University Council of Central America. , therefore this organization of the Central American integration, in its ordinary session of the month of November in the year 2006 that was celebrated in the city of tegucigalpa in the national pedagogical university Francisco morazán granted it the category of Central American regional postgraduate, it is so much that several foreigners and from different universities, mostly Central American, opt for this postgraduate course.

In the subjects established in the curriculum are distributed to be completed within a period of 2 years, but the research project will be a time of two years for students to finish.
