NASA // Something strange and very strange has found the Curiosity robot on the planet Mars.
Hello to all this great community of steemit in this opportunity I am going to show you, something very strange and strange that the robot Curiosity of NASA had the opportunity to find on the planet Mars, apparently that this object contains some compounds that are commonly achieved on Earth, let's continue reading to learn a little more about this great find.
Curiosity of NASA had the opportunity to find a strange meteor on the red planet called Mars this happened while doing a thorough exploration. The object was managed to be registered, through an image captured by the robot, this happened on January 12 in the area that is known as Mount Sharp.
The scientists who carried out the project Mars Science Laboratory managed to detect a rock that had very rare appearance this was on the 27th of October, thanks to the camera that has the name (MastCam), a great instrument that has the function of studying the Martian landscape. The object that has a great astonishment to the community of scientists is a rock of very unusual shape and because of the color it has that is gray it is known that it is composed of metal (iron and nickel).
Thanks to these great analyzes, the Curiosity robot has been able to confirm that the rock is the size of a golf ball, this can be an iron and nickel meteorite that managed to fall from the heights, this object is also enriched with phosphorus and some other elements that are minor. At the moment NASA has not confirmed where the meteorite originated, although it is very possible that it may be of metal origin. The Curiosity robot is currently in the red planet, this for some 4 years and this would be like the third metallic discovery that the robot has found.
This great rock was found in the formation of Murray, in an area that is very mountainous sedimentary rocks that in the past time were the great Martian lakes bottom. Since one month ago, the robot Curiosity is trying to investigate the environmental conditions changed there, and it has already been determined that in this area it was, it obtained very favorable conditions for microbial life.
Meteorites containing iron and nickel are very common on planet Earth, and in other opportunities it has already been possible to find some others on the planet Mars but this call (egg rock) this was the first one that was analyzed with the refined sensors that owns the Curiosity robot. It can be believed that this type of iron rock that was found tends to originate normally when the material of some asteroids melts and forms what we call the central nucleus.
