This is extremely interesting. These type of robots would have quite some advantage over Boston Dynamic’s four leg doggy ones.
As far as navigating tight spaces and scouting/reconnaissance, the snake definitely has the advantage. However I think the dog-bots fill their own niche as basically pack-horses for troops, carrying extra ammo and supplies. It's amazing the inspiration they take from animals isn't it?
That's true! They probably would have different usage. Dog-bots for carrying and snake-bots for spying or rescue missions....
