RE: Solar energy has been dramatically underestimated
I think it's really interesting as well the potential for distributed energy production, i.e. individuals generating their own electricity, to reduce vulnerability if the grid comes down for whatever reason. Fingers crossed this technology develops as people hope.
I think so too. One one side there is this fact of being independent and on the other side the one of being less vulnerable. Very clear thoughts over there. This technology is very much developing, f.e. in Munich, where I have been about 2 months ago. So much solar backed flats and houses there. Very nice to see this development... You really get a different view about energy wasting :-) .
Also, I think passive solar energy gets very little attention. Passive solar air heaters and passive solar water heaters have great potential to complement energy solutions, and many of them can be made on shoe-string budgets. Those are clearly only complementary to more complete solutions but every little helps!
Many a little makes a mickle, right? Energy is all around, we just have to use it wisely if you ask me... Thanks for your good input!
No worries, thanks for the interesting article. I have to say half the time I enjoy chewing the cud on here in Steemit more than reading the articles half the time!!
Totally forgot to upvote this one! It's my pleasure and I am glad you like the article. In my opinion everybody is there for a specific reason, so just feel free to chew the cud as much as you like :-)
