In front of Tesla's yearly investor meeting in June, investor Jing Zhao has presented a proposition to supplant the board's administrator, Elon Musk, with an autonomous executive. Musk, the CEO at Tesla, has been administrator of the board since 2004.

"In spite of the fact that the present initiative structure, in which the places of Chairman and CEO are held by one individual, could give a successful authority to Tesla at the beginning period, now in this significantly more very aggressive and quickly changing innovation industry, it is increasingly hard to regulate Tesla's business and senior administration (particularly to limit any potential clashes) that may come about because of joining the places of CEO and Chairman," Zhao wrote in his proposition.
