Welding process for each position and each type of welding to produce a good camp

in #science6 years ago

The welding process is one of the processes of grafting or combining two or more metal materials by using pressure, heat, flame or electric arc. The welding process for each position and each type of welding will be different. However, for the welding process of root joints, each position is the same way. In SMAW welding, there are 2 ways or tips weld root connections on SMAW welding in order to produce a good camp.

The welding process for each position and each type of welding will be different. The process of welding the flat position under the hand will be different from the horizontal position welding process. Similarly, the welding process using SMAW welding will be different from the welding process using OAW welding.

However, for the welding process root connection, at each position, the way is the same. In this article, we will discuss how to weld root connections on the SMAW welding process.

Why on SMAW welding process?
Because only on the SMAW welding process is certain and must make the connection at the time of welding the roots. This is due to the limited length of the SMAW welding electrode, which is different from the electrode material in other welding types.

There are 2 ways to get a good turf:
  1. Commonly used ways.
This method is used by most welders. End of welding reinforced, grinded thinly by using cutting grinder.

With the thin end of the welding at the end of the weld, the hope that when the welding arc reaches the passage, it will break down by itself and be replaced with a new height of height and width with the previous camp. So the weld-weld root will look neat and good.

  2. Without grinding at the end of the camp.
This method does not require cutting grinding wheels to grind thinly at the end of welding. The electrode is lit approximately 2 cm before the end of welding, then run slowly toward the end of welding.

    Why run slowly?
The goal is to keep the arc flame stable first before being used to weld the root connection. Upon reaching the root joints, the electrodes are inserted into the pass through the gap between the two welded metals.
This is done up to 3 times. After this is done, then the electrode is run normally to complete the root welding. If it is done properly and correctly, then the root connection will look neat and good.

Conclusion

Welding process for each position and each type of welding will be a different process. However, for the welding process of root joints, each position is the same way.
There are two ways to weld root connections on SMAW welds to produce a good and reliable camp.
