The Secret of Building or Retaining Muscles while you Age

in #secret6 years ago

Do you want to look ten years younger than your biological age?
There are specific ways to move, eat, and think that tell your brain to STOP this rapid aging process... and even SLOW IT DOWN to the point where you're aging less than a year for every year. That means you can look younger at 40 than you do at 35... or younger at 50+ than you did at 40! or younger at 80 than you did in 70+. Do you believe in this secret?123957064_1.jpg

Do you know the Real Reason all of us are losing Muscle Mass as we Age
and How to Stop it and Even Reverse It?
The average person loses 30% of their muscle mass by the time they’re 60.

But thanks to a new breakthrough, you can stay strong and independent as you age -- and even have more muscle than you did when you were younger!

What is the secret?

The secret is simple, eat more protein like fish, eggs and other forms of meat daily. Milk is one of the best source of protein. The other aspect is your daily exercise and your lifestyle. The basic facts of life is simply how you move, eat and think.

Where do all the protein found in your muscles come from?
Do not think that protein comes from your diet. Most people think they come from the diet. But that’s not entirely accurate. The truth is that proteins in your muscles are made by your body. But your diet is important, because it supplies amino acids, which are the building blocks that create proteins for your muscle mass. Let’s say you’re eating a protein source like eggs, meat or fish. This meat or fish or eggs goes into your stomach and begins to get digested. Your digestive system then breaks down the protein into amino acids.
Those amino acids then go through your small intestine and into your bloodstream. And from there, they are distributed throughout the body. The body then takes those amino acids and uses them to make whatever proteins it needs. Some of the amino acids are made into muscle. Some of them are made into organ cells. Some of them are made into hormones. And so on. However, not all the amino acids get turned into proteins. Some of them are turned into glucose and are burned for energy.

There are many sources of protein we eat ranging from eggs, fish, beans, nuts, beef and others. Your regular diet is important source of protein for your body. A little bit of knowledge is important to help choosing the balanced diet for your good health and muscles building as you age. It would be a good choice if you choose a diet quite similar to the Mediterranean Diet or Dash Diet.

So how can you tell if your body is using the protein from food for muscle or if it’s turning it into excess glucose? Scientists have answered this question.
You see, amino acids contain nitrogen. And when amino acids are turned into proteins, the nitrogen remains in your body as part of the protein. But when amino acids are converted into sugar, the nitrogen is released and passes through to your urine.
So if you want to know if your food is being turned into protein or sugar, all you have to do is measure the amount of nitrogen in your urine!

This measurement is called Amino Acid Utilization, or AAU. Here’s how it works:

If a dietary protein has an AAU of 100%, it means that there is no nitrogen in your urine and that the body is using 100% of the amino acids in that food to build body protein. That’s great!

On the other hand, if a protein source has an AAU of 10% that means your body is only using 10% of the amino acids to make body protein. That means your body is turning 90% of those amino acids into sugar. Not good!

So what’s the best source of dietary protein, with the highest AAU? Scientists found that it’s breast milk, with an AAU of 49%. That makes sense, because babies need an efficient source of dietary protein. But we’re not babies, so what’s the next best source of protein?

The next best source of protein is whole eggs. Whole eggs have an AAU of 47%. But it has to be the whole egg. If you eat egg whites like many so-called health experts tell you to do, you will only get an AAU of 17%. Why? Because egg yolks contain the essential amino acid methionine. Take out the yolk, and you seriously limit the egg’s protein-building value.

After whole eggs come meat, poultry, and fish. They’re all equal, with an AAU of 32%. But it really goes downhill from there. A regular balanced diet like the Mediterranean Diet will serve your purpose.

Now that you are aware of the choice of foods to build your muscles as you age, you should just embrace these Five Simple Steps in your choice of foods and lifestyle.
These 5 steps reveal the things you absolutely MUST AVOID if you want to slow the aging process, reclaim your health, and achieve your ideal body.

#1 Step 1: Forget Low-Fat Diets

Fats from butter and cheese or meat are not to be feared – they're to be embraced. They do not make you fat; rather, they help your body regenerate your power hormones. Testosterone, the 'strength' hormone, for example, is the direct result of cholesterol and dietary fat intake. That's right: "Cholesterol" isn't a dirty word! Your eggs is full of cholesterol and you must eat them. Your body needs dietary fat and cholesterol in order to produce ANY AND ALL vital hormones.
Embrace a diet similar to the Mediterranean Diet and you are on the right path to good health and muscles building as you age.

#2 Step 2: Stop Running in Circles

Treadmills, and any form of endurance training (especially running long distance maraton) does very little to help the age reversal process. Many times, these long-duration exercise bouts accelerate the aging process by increasing free radicals. These free radicals are scavengers that prey on your body's essential nutrients and tissues. Instead do short intermittent exercises and some resistive training for short periods interval. Play your favourite game like tennis or table tennis is the best form of exercise. Walking and stretching daily will enhance your mobility and flexibility.

#3 Step 3: Stop Blaming Everything On How Old You Are

Surround yourself with positive thinkers who absolutely crave a challenge. A challenge is what keeps you YOUNG, and the best challenge there is happens to be taking control of your health and body. You are old when you think so. Otherwise age is just a number. How old is Warren Buffett? He is 88 years old. Warren Edward Buffett is an American business magnate, investor, speaker and philanthropist who serves as the chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway.
Dr Mahathir is 93 years old and he is the current prime minister of Malaysia.

#4 Step 4: Avoid Chronic Dehydration
Water isn't just "good for you" — water burns fat. Water suppresses hunger. Water renews your skin. Just drinking 12 ounces of pure water every day can take a few years off your face in a matter of weeks. You'll also drop fat, have more energy, and save your kidneys and liver from chronic overwork.
When your kidneys are taxed from too little water, your liver has to take over. Now, get this: Your liver is your number one fat-burning organ. Do you REALLY want it processing liquids and toxins rather than BURNING FAT? No way, right? Well, grab a glass of water, and watch the mirror. Within a few weeks, the change to your face and body will be noticeable.

#5 Step 5: Work Out LESS (Yes, Less)

If you don't work out at all, you're going to lose muscle tissue every year. That means you'll get fatter and flabbier each and every year with less shape and more sag. Is this what you desire?
Instead play the game you love and do intermittent exercises with some resistive weight training and stretching.
