Unsecured Home Security Video Cameras - A Voyeur's Dream

It's really important to know at least a little bit about anything you're connecting to the internet. Security should be your number one concern!

There is a web site on the open internet (accessible to anybody) that uses a bot/script to find and catalog security cameras that don't have any access security protecting them from people who want to look at what they're recording.

It seems innocent - just watching people at the beach or cars parked in a parking lot - but people install these cameras inside their homes! Even inside their bedrooms!!!

Many cameras are equipped with infra-red so they are still effective in the night and can capture images similar to the one below.

People feel safe in their own house and do things they might not normally do when they feel like they're being watched and have privacy. A lot of people walk around in their underwear or panties - in your own home why not?

Make sure that if you install security cameras in your house that you alone have access to the video stream!
