Naruto Uzumaki (Uz ず ま き ナ ル ト, Uzumaki Naruto?) Is the main character of the Naruto manga invented by Masashi Kishimoto.

In the universe of the series, Naruto is a young ninja from the village of Konoha. Host of the nine-tailed fox demon, a creature who attacked the village in the past, he is rejected by other villagers. His ambition is to become Hokage, the village chief, in order to gain the respect of the inhabitants. With a happy and determined character, he manages to become friends with several ninjas of the village and especially with Sasuke Uchiwa, whom he considers his brother and rival. As he progressed in the series, he managed to get accepted by the villagers, until becoming a hero for them after protecting them.

Naruto is present in all of the series' derivative products such as films and OAVs and is the subject of significant merchandising. It appears in all the opening credits and in almost those of the end of all the anime.

He received good reviews from the sites specializing in anime, manga or video games although he is most often considered stereotyped and comparable to other heroes of the shōnen genre. Naruto also received a good reception from the public, which places him among the most popular characters in the series in the polls.
