Thanks for your valuable comment. In my country Bangladesh also a male-dominated country. In such a society, we live in which rape,
sexual abuse is a routine incident, the head of the rapist is proud to walk high in society, and some people are ever sincere to rape and permit rapists.
Yeah, I feel most of Asian countries are male-dominated, the same case in China. If an unmarried Chinese girl is sexually abused or raped unluckily, she should keep silent. Otherwise she will lose the chance to marry herself off to a good and noble family. However, US is a country with a great wave of feminism. Wife is just the head of the whole family, and white people's historical tradition is to respect woman very much! We can see it by reading the story of American ex-president Bush's wife Barbara who recently passed away. On the surface, Barbara was only a housewife even without her own job/career. In fact, she was the core of the big Bush family--She was powerful and strong-willed like my late husband's American exwife.
If without the international marriage, I really have no way to know about the huge difference between Chinese and American marriage.
So some western men can say "Sexual abuse can happen to both men and women". But in China, such kind of thing--sexual abuse never or seldom happens to men.
My American husband was very passive, he never knew how to be a master before woman. On the contrary, he was like a naive and pure child before woman.
If he was still alive, our international marriage is really a huge bless. Pitifully due to extreme ignorance about western and eastern marriage system/sex culture, we missed each other forever this life again.
I know about Bangledash, there's the strict virgin system, too.
It is really very difficult to challenge the stubborn marriage tradition/culture. However, at least we should have the courage to speak it out! I come to Steemit only for telling the whole world how happy it is for an old Chinese girl to realize her craziest dream--marrying her white American husband and how her fairy-tale marriage was ruined ruthlessly again!
I appreciate your bravery and frankness so much! It is difficult for our Asian women to talk sex openly, so I never try to write my love story and talk about the sex topic in Chinese!
