When the Shadows of the Trees Fell on the Wall
I usually work from early morning until noon, then again in the afternoon, and sometimes at night. My work desk gets different kinds of sunlight depending on the time of day. Sometimes I need to close the blinds because the sunlight is too bright for my online camera. On the other hand, I sometimes need to let the sunlight in because the room is too dark for online meetings. Even though I’m sitting inside, I can feel the movement of the sun throughout the day. It’s such a cool feeling, as if I’m working on the sun’s schedule. Sometimes, I even feel like there’s no ceiling above my head.

When I wake up very early, before sunrise, I wait for the sunshine while getting ready for work. As I prepare, the sunlight gradually fills my room. I sometimes text my mother while my morning is still very quiet. By then, she is probably cooking and getting ready for dinner. We can connect for a little while before I start work.
