THE DIARY GAME: A BEAUTIFUL DAY OF FELLOWSHIP AND MERRIMENT IN MY CHURCH (30/01/2026)

Hi! Dear Steemians and warm wishes to you all. I’m excited to share a memorable gathering that recently took place at our church—an event filled with camaraderie, gratitude, and joyful togetherness.

The day started early with preparations for the celebration. As part of my duties, I went out first thing to oversee the food preparation. It was crucial to ensure that everything was done neatly, on time, and with love. Together, we prepared one of our favorites—flavorful Jollof rice with beef, beautifully made. We also cooked Afang soup paired with eba, a beloved delicacy from my hometown, known not only for its taste but for the sense of home and unity it evokes when shared. The cooking felt like fellowship, filled with laughter, teamwork, and a shared purpose.

Once the food was ready, I returned home to refresh myself for the rest of the day. I then went back to church, fully focused on my role as Chairman of the Planning Committee. My responsibility was to ensure all arrangements were set—from seating to the program flow—so the event could proceed smoothly and meaningfully.

The gathering officially began around 4:30 p.m. and followed a well-organized agenda. We kicked off with hymns and opening prayers, dedicating the event to God. This was followed by a lively praise session that uplifted our spirits. I then gave the welcome address, expressing gratitude to everyone and emphasizing the purpose of our meeting.

Next, we had testimonies where members shared experiences of God’s goodness, followed by reflections on personal encounters within the church, reminding us of our individual and collective faith journeys. The homily encouraged unity, love, and perseverance, preparing us for the day’s highlight the Banquet of Unity, Peace, and Love. We enjoyed the meal together, reinforcing our bonds as one family in Christ.
