The Diary Game: A Hectic But Fulfilled Day (06/03/2026)

Hello, everyone! I'm always happy to connect and share my day with you all. It has been quite a busy day, but I'm thankful for this chance to reflect on it.

My morning began with a rush to work, as I hurried to get everything ready for the day. I headed to the ward and started reviewing my patients. The rounds went fairly well, although there’s always that lingering pressure to maintain high standards. Later, I had a delightful surprise; my friend, who is considering doing her internship in IT at the hospital, came to visit. It was wonderful to see her! I showed her around, introducing her to different departments, and we even stopped at the approval office. After some paperwork and back-and-forth, we successfully obtained her internship approval, which was a relief!

But the pace didn’t let up. I had an afternoon meeting with our department that turned into a long session that lasted until closing time. The main focus was World Dietitians Day. We had an in-depth discussion about our plans for the celebration this year, particularly our collaboration with students to emphasize the importance of nutrition and dietetics, aiming to dispel the notion that it’s just about food. We wanted them to grasp the breadth of the field, from therapeutic diet planning to nutrition therapy and beyond. It was both enlightening and inspiring to take part in that conversation.

After the meeting, we held a warm, brief introduction session for the new members who recently joined the Dietitian Association of Nigeria, Cross River State Chapter. It was lovely to welcome them into our community. We exchanged greetings, shared a prayer, and then headed home, feeling fulfilled yet completely exhausted.

Finally, I arrived home, refreshed myself, had dinner, and took some time to unwind. Watching movies was the ideal way to relax and shake off the stress. It has been a long and demanding day, but I’m thankful for it. Now, I'm ready for a good night’s sleep to recharge for tomorrow!
