The Diary Game: Recovery Tuesday (17-02-2026)

A blissful evening to everyone. It's @mamuduak here again and you know how we do it, I'm going to be sharing my yesterday's episode with you but I'll be keeping it very short and fun. Stay calm and enjoy your reading. Yesterday, being Monday was a hell of a ride for me. I left my house as early as 6:45 am for recovery. What we do during recovery is to meet with our clients who have refused to pay back thier loan. If the loan is long overdue, we go with police and threaten them. It's not always an easy task but I signed up for the work, so I have to do it.

I got to the office quite early. I met only two of my colleagues aside the cleaner. While waiting for others to arrive, I arranged my drawer. My colleague was gisting me about the funeral she went for over the weekend. She had a very funny encounter with someone on the bus. It was a very funny experience.

Arriving the office early

My work buddy, Mmeyene arrived thrity minutes later with food. There were no customers at the bank yet. She brought Spaghetti and egg. I was excited when I saw the food because I was craving for it. We went to the canteen to eat first before we began work for the day. She told me that she'll be going for her anti-natal later in the day. We talked about a few things. Some of the issues she had and shared some tips on how I was able to overcome mine.

Breakfast

My boss arrived later. We had a brief meeting with her on how we were going to conduct the recovery. We were six people and we were divided into two groups of three each. Each group was supposed to visit two places. For my group, the first place to visit was a tailor's shop. She got the money for her business expansion and she has refuse to pay her loan and is long over due. She wasn't expecting us, so immediately we stepped into the her shop, she was stood up in shock. The shock was all over her face, it immediately turned into fear when she saw the police. "I'm going to pay up, please don't arrest me" she said. I told her I was really disappointed in her. Making me to go through such stress just to get the money we loaned her. I totally her the total debt and without hesitation, she transferred the money.

The second place was the market. The man sells and repairs foot wears. His loan is six months overdue. He was fast enough to see us alight from the bus. He stood up and wanted to escape but it was already too late because the police men were already by his side. The police me threatened to embarrass him if he refused to cooperate. He was my colleague's client, so she spoke to him. He began giving unreasonable excuses. I told him that I was here for our company's money and not his excuses and I gave him the total of his debt. After we threatened to pack most his items, he finally decided to pay.

Second recovery place

We went back to the office after a long day of shouting and dragging with clients. By this time, Mmeyene was already back from her anti-natal. Some work days can be as stressful as this while other days, can be very fun. In all I'm always already for the day. That's nice having you, bye.
