My oldest piece of clothing

Greetings, love & respect to all of my steemian friends.

I am @saifuddinmahmud from Bangladesh. There is a beautiful and amazing contest. The contest name is My oldest piece of clothing organised by @soywilfredg . I am going to share my memory. I hope everyone will like my post.

We always want to keep some memories from the past that bring us peace of mind. We keep our used clothes, shoes, watches, old mobile phones, etc. even after they become unusable. Because there is such a love and affection in these used things that we don't let them throw them away.

Where and when did you (or they) buy that thing?

I bought this shirt about 6 years ago. We bought this shirt from a wholesale market in 2019.

Tell us a story/anecdotal story about your experience with that garment.

I studied at the university in 2019. It was our last semester of engineering. All my classmates and I planned to go somewhere. We all agreed. One of my friends said that we would all wear the same type of shirt. We all agreed. Because if we go somewhere wearing the same shirt, it would look really good. We all bought shirts of the same color and went around wearing them. We went to see mountains and waterfalls. Everyone was very happy and took pictures wearing the same color shirt. We spent a very happy day. So I could not throw this shirt away even after it was ruined. Whenever I see this shirt, I miss that happy day very much. We are each in different places due to the need for livelihood. But this shirt seems to still have the memories of that day, the touch of friends, love, and the joy of going around together.

Imagine, if that dress could talk... what do you think it would say about you?

Dresses can never talk. But I can imagine. If the dress could talk, I think it would fill my lost memories with more vividness. It would always remind me of those days. In my dreams, it would take me closer to that day.

Why did you refuse to throw it away?

I refused to throw it away because I spent a beautiful day of my life wearing this shirt. This shirt has the touch of a memorable day. When I threw this shirt away, it felt like I erased a very beautiful day from my life. So I never wanted to throw this shirt away to hold on to that memorable day.
