The Diary Game: Still Enjoying My Village Holiday And Going To Church On Sunday 11/1/2026

Still in the village till now, since it was Sunday, I woke up and a strong Catholic member, I had finished preparing to attend morning mass so that I will come back early and be with my kinsmen. I dressed and left the house, I didn't wait for anyone.

When I went to church, the mass had already gone far but I was there when the priest was preaching which is the main aim of my going to church. He preached on the topic "Our Anchor Of Faith" and he told us that Christ is our anchor of faith and with him is our hope. He told us that outside Christ, none of us is safe as we live in a very cruel world. I was deeply touched by that preaching.

After church dismissed, I went back home and when I got back, my mother was already leaving the house because he went for the second mass of the day. Since my mother wasn't at home, I couldn't eat, so I removed the clothes I wore to church and hanged it outside then sat outside to wait for them to come back.

By 10am, my mother was back from church and she was asking me why I didn't use the kitchen when I came back, she knew very well that I won't for any reason touch the food in the kitchen. I would rather wait for her to come and give me the food than to touch the pot. That was how she raised us and it has been with me for years now.

When we finished eating, my kinsmen and thanks to gracious Lord that i still had palm wine in the house, I removed a keg of palm wine and dropped so that they can start with that while my mother and my siblings were busy in the kitchen preparing food for them to eat.

My brothers who went to church came back and also added money for more food to be prepared because two of them will be travelling back to the city tomorrow and within this week as well. Enough food was cooked.

So, when the food was brought, our elders prayed for us and thanked God for keeping us and he also asked God to protect us even in foreign land. Then after everyone had merry and eaten to their fullest, the cooler was left there, I went and packed the coolers and the plates inside.

I was so tired after cleaning up the place, so I bathed and went to sleep in the bench that was outside. My mother was busy with my sisters, women can really multi task. So I took my phone and attended steemit class before any other thing.
