The Rue Saint Woman of the Opera- shortstory @m4deline

Every night she sat in that seat and held those lenses to her eyes. Seat F8 was the perfect seat which she booked everyday in 3 months advanced. No matter the show or the price every night she showed up in her pearls and talked her gloss off to the person beside her in that very seat.

The Rue Saint Opera was a premium opera loved by the critics and celebrated by the rich. Burgendy Le'fleur was one of the few so dedicated opera dwellers. She was divorced twice by 2 very rich gentlemen and lives only off the money she got from the divorces. Burgendy felt the Opera was the only thing she loved and she preserved every dollar she had for it other than for food and water which she bought the cheapest of so she could afford those Opera seats until the day she dies.

It was 7pm she put on her red dress and pulled up her stockings and wiped blush across her cheek. She pulled her pocket mirror up and her expressionless face stared. She closed the mirror and left her home to walk down the streets of Paris to the show that night.

Her home was a cardboard box. Was it worth it?
