Hello steemian Friends, today the 13th of January 2026 I will be participating in the ongoing challenge by @ninapenda for this week. I hope you enjoy my write up.
The place of POWER AND AUTHORITY IS an attractive seat living things admire and will love to occupy. The feeling of ownership and leadership is best experienced and not explained. That is why those that have tested power never wish to be taken out of it.
IF YOU WERE GIVEN FULL AUTHORITY FOR OVER A YEAR IN YOUR COMMUNITY OR COUNTRY, WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU WILL ADDRESS?
If given such an opportunity in my community where I work the first issue I will address is my colleagues attitude towards work, i will pay close attention to why they suddenly become unserious and less concerned about the productivity and growth of the community, the causes and possibly solutions to restore back dignity of labour.
WHY DO YOU CHOOSE THIS ISSUES OVER OTHERS?
Working as a cleaner in my community for five(5) years now I have been exposed to human behaviour and how positively and negatively it can affect growth both personally or corporately. Team work is good and recommendable, but without the right attitude and mindset there will be no progress or any positive results, one single misconduct from a team member can jeopardise the hard work of others.
WHAT IS THAT ONE DIFFICULT DECISION YOU WOULD HAVE TAKEN?
As adults we are required to be responsible and to bear the consequences of our actions, every action requires a reaction. I will first change the management team of my cleaning community and replace them with a more effective and functional one, a management that will make impacts, and the new management team will be from another community to avoid familiarity and to promote discipline and seriousness towards work.
HOW WOULD YOU EXPLAIN THIS DECISION TO PEOPLE WHO MIGHT DISAGREE WITH YOU
my new decision will be taken based on facts, results and evidence of workers behaviour misconduct and neglected of duty. I will analysis the profit and lose of the community since the administration of the previous management, I will present the portfolio of my new management team, their impact, accomplishments and I will also give my opposeser the opportunity to carry out their own research and prove me other wise.
