Deuteronomy 21:22‭-‬23 .. + Galations3:13 Acts 5:30 Jesus whom ye slew and HANGED on a tree!steemCreated with Sketch.

"And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree: His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance."
Deuteronomy 21:22‭-‬23

Jesus was wounded for our transgressions and the chastisement of our peace was laid upon him.

Dear Saint the curse of the law comes with the violation of the law . Jesus became sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in and through Him. All have sinned and all are born in sin. Jesus Christ was cursed of God not for his own sins for there were none, but for those who would one day call upon the name of the Lord to be saved. Not for ours only but , as John declares but potentially for the sins of the whole world.
"And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world." 1st John 2:2

Proof of God's wrath upon Christ was his being hung upon that tree planted by cruel men on Golgotha's mount.

Acts 5:30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye ( the Jews) slew and hanged on a tree.
Acts 10:39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:

Galations 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

The place of the skull , hung between heaven and Earth rejected by one and cursed by the other. The complete substitutionary payment and humiliation for sin.

Isaiah 53: Esteemed stricken and smitten of God .. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; .. he was lifted up that he might draw all men unto him. .. yet. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all... 10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin."

Upon the tree he cried, my God my God why hast thou forsaken me? Yet God had not forsaken Him , rather he turned upon him His great wrath!
Oh the Majesty and the Mystery: His soul an offering for sin and his body cursed, would be hung upon that rugged cross to show the world the vastness of their distance from God because of their sin.

God manifest in the flesh sacrificing the ultimate sacrifice for sin.

Jesus said He came to do the Father's will. He also said that he would not only lay down his own life but that would in and of his own accord raise himself up again ( John 10;17) . Yet as Isaiah 53:11 continues.. He ( the Father) shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities."

He would not remain upon the cross all night for then he would be thought accursed of God.

When Jesus said it is finished and gave up the ghost, all penalty for sin was paid and Jesus, being dead in the flesh suffered no more. Sin was atoned for, judgment was satisfied and Jesus led captivity captive.

Made a curse for us he could be a blessing to us.
Fulfilling the law in obeying it completely he also suffered under it's wrath substitutionary for those of us, which is all of us, loveingly

. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
