Anyone have any info on when Smart Media Tokens (SMT's) are being released?

Seems like this testnet has been going on forever. Isn't it time to get SMT's out in the community and being used?

We were talking about these three years ago.

I’d guess that they’ll be released on the Hive blockchain before the Steem blockchain, now that the former Steemit devs are there.

Think they'd need to stabilise this thing before they add anything else to it, it's better for me today (I think?) but for the last week it's been practically unusable as I couldn't even get an upvote to go through in a timely fashion never mind comments.

_{Literally took me ~10 goes just to get an upvote onto a post yesterday and after that I cba with commenting or the entire thing anymore and ragequit the tab XD}
