Hargreaves names Chelsea player that may not play again following poor performance
Owen Hargreaves has said that Kurt Zouma may find it difficult featuring for Chelsea under Thomas Tuchel again following his poor performance against West Brom on Saturday.
Chelsea were handed a shocking 5-2 defeat at home by relegation battling Sam Allardyce’s side and Hargreaves believes Zouma should take huge part of the blame.
According to the Englishman, the French defender may find it difficult winning back the trust of Tuchel as a result of his performance.
Tuchel tested his first defeat in Chelsea colours on Saturday with his 14-match unbeaten record crashing to a halt at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues took the lead midway through the first half through Christian Pulisic but Thiago Silva received a second yellow card and was sent off just two minutes after Blues’ first goal and things went sour for Tuchel’s side.
Matheus Pereira and Callum Robinson both completed braces and the impressive Mbaye Diagne also got on the scoresheet for the Baggies.
Mason Mount came off the bench to put one back but the goal proved only to be a consolation for the former league champions
Hargreaves was particularly unimpressed with Zouma’s display and pointed out the France international may struggle to find playing opportunities going forward under Tuchel.
“I think for Chelsea and for Kurt Zouma, I’m sure that’s going to go well for him after what happened today,” he told Premier League Production.
First of all, I don’t think he’s the most comfortable with his left foot so playing on the left side of the three puts a lot of pressure on him.
“We saw it for the first goal, he played a poor ball into Jorginho with the weight of it.
“For Zouma I’m not sure he’s going to be playing many games going forward after today’s performance
