The Cause of Government in Developing Countries is Difficult to Overcome Poverty from The Past until Now
The main cause of poverty in developing countries is low level of education. Many people are poor because their education is low. They find it hard to get a decent job. The government then make a policy for the poor. The example is the subsidy in education and health. The aim is to improve welfare of the people. Unfortunately, there are still many poor people. The government has difficulty in overcoming problem of poverty from then until now. The government is having a hard time because of the following five things.
First, there are many government officials are corrupt. They corrupt public money. The money that should have been given to the people, was corrupted by them. The people only get "the rest". Corruption also occurs in the natural resource industry. There are many cheat conglomerates in the industry. They bribe government officials. Their goal is to get projects and concessions. They want to control the industry continuously. In fact, natural resources should be used for the people's prosperity.
Second, there are many poor people surrender to the situation. They accept their poverty sincerely. Because they feel they deserve to be poor. They also think that poverty is God's destiny. So, it cannot be denied. This surrender attitude make the government difficult. The government has difficulty determining the right policies to overcome poverty.
Third, there are many poor people give their property to their families. They feel obliged to do that. Because it is the tradition of the local community. Examples of that are giving jewelry to his daughter, clothes for his son, and money for his grandchildren. In fact, their income is small. On the other hand, their children cannot be independent. Their children are still financially dependent on them. This has worsened their poverty. Because it is severe, the government is difficult to overcome their poverty.
Fourth, cause of poverty in each region is different. For example, cause of poverty in region A is inadequate infrastructure. Cause of poverty in region B is lack of public services. Cause of poverty in region C is small number of jobs. Different causes of poverty require different solutions. Unfortunately, the government solution is single. The government uses the solution to overcome poverty in all regions. As a result, poverty still remains. Poverty still exists from the past until now. The government should make a poverty solution that is territorial. The solution is adjusted to the local socio-cultural conditions.

I personally live in a developing country, namely Indonesia. The government of Indonesia has struggled to overcome poverty from the past until now. The government is difficult to overcome this because of the above. I think that governments in other developing countries are same. They also experienced the same thing with the government of Indonesia. Because the characteristics of poverty in developing countries are relatively same.
