El día de hoy le presentamos a Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, mejor conocido como Mahatma Gandhi, padre de la libertad de la India, quién desde 1919 fue líder del movimiento nacionalista indio y sus métodos de lucha fue la huelga de hambre y el áhimsa o no violencia para disuadir al dominio britanico. En la foto lo tenemos sentado en el frente de su oficina de abogados en la ciudad de Natal en Sudáfrica más o menos en el año de 1893. Él no ejercía su profesión a tiempo completo sino que se encargaba en la redacción de documentos para otros abogados y como asesor para una empresa India radicada en ese país. Siempre se preocupó más por la situación de segregación racial, por lo que decide irse nuevamente a la India y desde allí comenzar con su activismo político.

Today we introduce Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, better known as Mahatma Gandhi, father of freedom of India, who since 1919 was the leader of the Indian nationalist movement and his methods of struggle was the hunger strike and the ahimsa or nonviolence to deter the British domain. In the photo we have him sitting in the front of his law office in the city of Natal in South Africa more or less in the year 1893. He did not practice his profession full time but was responsible for writing documents for other lawyers and as an advisor for an Indian company based in that country. He always worried more about the situation of racial segregation, so he decided to go back to India and from there start his political activism.
