NOBODY KNOWS WHY ANCIENT MEXICANS STACKED THESE CORPSES IN A MYSTERIOUS SPIRAL PATTERN

They find a tomb 2,400 years ago with ten intertwined skeletons

No one knows why the ancient Mexicans stacked these corpses in a mysterious spiral pattern.
Since then, numerous excavations have been carried out, and the latest discovery has been truly amazing. It is a tomb with the skeletons of about ten people.

But what has most surprised the authors of the discovery is that the disposition of the bones reveals that the corpses were piled up following a strange spiral pattern. The bodies of the deceased were intertwined, so that the humerus and ulnars (arm bones) of one individual are located under the lumbars (corresponding to the spinal column) of another. In addition, it presents diverse postures, some with the legs bent in fetal position, others with the belly hyperflexioned... That is to say, the corpses were intentionally placed so that it looked as if they were interacting with each other.

Archaeologists have been able to decipher the sex of three of them, two of whom were women and one male. They also say there was a teenager and a baby. Some of the skulls had deformations that appeared to have been intentionally caused.

But the researchers are really intrigued because they have never seen a burial similar to this one before. Everything seems to indicate that it may have had ritual significance, but it is not known whether the people buried there were sacrificed or died for some other cause.
