The Holy Spirit and Paul: This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel. Acts 9:15

The miracle of Paul's conversion, which occurred after the martyrdom of Stephen, is one of the most important signs that happened for the early Church during the first century after Christ. And the question that many Christians may ask is how a man who was an enemy of Jesus could make such a great spiritual change, from persecutor to becoming one of the greatest propagators of the faith in the divine master, and the answer lies in the grace of the Lord, and in particular the gifts of the Holy Spirit, which God in his providence grants as he decides.
The disciples of Jesus had received a great spiritual transformation at the celebration of Pentecost, where they received the spiritual gifts of wisdom and spiritual love, the love projected towards all the work of God, with the spiritual mission to preach the Kingdom of God to the Gentiles and God-fearing Jews, and the same happened with Saul who changed his name to Paul probably after his baptism. Understanding this fact leads to understanding faith in its true sense, because just as the sun transmits its rays indifferently upon good and bad men, God, in his perfect and eternal love, transmits his spiritual gifts to men. Paul and the disciples of Jesus are the practical demonstration that entering the Kingdom of God means living the gifts of the Holy Spirit and making them fruitful.
The Book of Acts recounts that after his vision of Christ, Saul was led blind to the city of Damascus, and upon arriving there, Ananias, a servant of Jesus, received a message from the Lord: "Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel" Acts 9:15.
The Book of Acts relates that Ananias found him where the vision indicated Saul was, and there he baptized him, and Saul was filled with the holy spirit, so that he could fulfill the mission that providence had assigned him. After his baptism, many doubted Paul's conversion, but time proved that God decides the destiny of men, and that through Paul's preaching the gifts of the Holy Spirit profoundly transformed the early Church.
