Finally, Lucidity Again!

Ahh, the heat is killing me! It's so hard to do anything when it's so hot. I hate summers, lol...

For some reason, I wasn't able to fall asleep last night, even though I was fairly tired when I went to bed. I slept like 3-4 hours today.

But, even though I barely slept, I don't feel very fatigued and I think I'll recover fully soon. I also became lucid!

Yeah, seems like poor sleep quality = lucid dreams? Haha, but seriously, when I'm sticking to my sleeping schedule every day, I rarely even get close to lucid dreaming.

But, barely sleeping at all for one night and I was able to become lucid. Maybe, it's because I was more aware like this. When I fall asleep immediately, I get into deep sleep and my awareness is really low.

When I have an almost sleepless night, I'm constantly thinking, so I might fall asleep with more awareness, which transfers to the dream world.

I don't know if that's how it is, but that's just my observation.

My lucidity didn't last for long, though... See, I haven't been lucid for so long, I just forgot what to do when I'm actually lucid.

I had to keep reminding myself that I'm dreaming, but I didn't do that. I forgot to do any reality checks at all. So, My lucidity lasted for a few minutes or so, and then it became a regular dream.

But still, I was able to become lucid without any techniques. I just realized it. Seem like I'm sometimes able to know when I'm in a dream. Dreams kinda have this different feeling than the waking world, but it's hard to notice, because your brain doesn't fully work while asleep.

Terrorist Take Over

My dream memory begins when I was with some people. We were in a weird room. I don't remember the people, except one, he was my old friend.

That dude was on some drugs, because he didn't look right and he was sweating a lot. Later, I realized he had taken ecstasy.

We didn't stay in this room for long. We were just talking in there, but I don't remember any dialogues. We went into the city and chose to go grab some food and drinks in a restaurant.

I remember taking a shot of some alcohol. Then, my old friend gave me a pill. It was ecstasy. He said it's for me. I didn't agree to take it.

He kept on encouraging me to take it, but I kept saying no. He decided to take it himself, even though he was already high from it.

He shared the pill with another dude.

Then, this is where it gets interesting. This dream was kind of a nightmare, because I felt like my life is in very big danger.

I noticed some guy standing besides a kid. This kid was shooting at a church with a sniper. He was forced to do it by that guy besides him.

I instantly realized something is wrong. I looked around and noticed a bunch of these fishy looking dudes standing besides someone and they were all in panic.

Soon after, those dudes started killing some people. They were terrorists!

Then, they started coming inside the restaurant and they kept taking away those guys I have been sticking with. Moments later, I was alone in the restaurant and I heard one of the terrorists call my name. He was coming after me.

I felt extreme panic and I quickly ran to the toilet. I was hoping that I would find a way to get out.

The Fight For My Life

As soon as I got into the bathroom, a few of those terrorists came through the door. I didn't even have a chance to look around...

Then, these guys took me outside. The whole place was filled with them and they were torturing people. I knew this might be where I die.

Apparently, they were changing how the street looks, so they had to clear everything out, even the people.

They dragged me quite far, to some sort of a tent. While we were on the way to this tent, I saw many people getting used in many ways. A lot of them got killed.

When I got into the tent. There were a lot of business men and a guy with an axe. They wanted to chop my head off! The guy told me to bend here.

This is where my instincts turn on. I felt soo scared, I just hit the guy who was holding me and ran away. While I was running, I saw some visions of business men rebuilding the street very quickly.

I don't know why, but I kept seeing a lot of men in suits with no faces. Almost like there was a shadow over them.

I somehow managed to secretly pass by every terrorist and I escaped the street. People were walking around like nothing had happened. All the shit was only happening in that street.

That was a very very weird dream and I was so happy when I woke up... I just kept telling myself that none of this was real.

I was really scared that I might die. I didn't want it to happen, so I tried to resist and managed to run away from those guys.

Lucidity In Heaven

When I fell back asleep, I was with two of my friends. But the place felt like magic. Everything was white. Like we were in heaven or something.

There was only a door in front of us that wasn't white. I think we were in some sort of magical tower.

And that's when I just had that realization. "It's a dream!"

The two friends immediately disappeared. I think I did it with my mind, but not sure. My view start shaking, because I was about to wake up.

I slightly started feeling my physical body, but somehow I managed to keep calm. I maintained my lucidity! I was a bit excited and I wanted to see what's behind the door.

So, I went through the door and there were stairs that led down to somewhere. Everything was still white. I went down the stairs and opened another door.

I got into some sort of amazing puzzle room. Sadly, this is where I lost my lucidity, because I got consumed by the room. I kept playing around with those puzzles, but I can't even remember anything about those things.

Still, it's been a long time since I got lucid and I did it without any techniques. That means I'm fairly aware throughout the day.

Mindfulness is key! Meditation helps a lot.

I'm ending this post here. At the end of each post I'll include my first post (down below) about this journey as it explains why and how I'm doing this! (Full Post Here)

I Will Be Doing This Every Day!

The main reason I want to start lucid dreaming, is for self improvement.

I've been reading a lot about it and studies have shown that you can actually improve certain abilities by doing it in your dreams.

For example, if you wan't to learn a foreign language, you can practice it in your dreams. Since you're working with your subconscious mind while you're sleeping, you might find out that you know words that you were never aware of while conscious.

It's really all up to your creativity to what you wanna learn and improve upon in your dreams. Is it basketball that you want to become better at? You can do that!

Do you want to become a better fucker? Nobody is holding you back! Just make a nasty slut appear in front of you and do whatever you want with her!

Apparently while sleeping, the neural pathways engaged in the activity are strengthened, and not only imagined or visualized.

To achieve lucid dreaming, a lot of action has to be taken. Well... Some find it really easy to lucid dream, but most have to achieve it the hard way.

It's really important to think about lucid dreaming throughout the day. This way you're telling your subconscious mind that this is what you're focusing on and what you want, thus it gives you the access to control the dream world.

There are quite a few things I will be doing in order to achieve this goal!

  1. So, first of all, I will be posting my whole lucid dreaming journey here on Steemit every day.

  2. I will be writing down all of my dreams on a journal. A dream journal is basically essential if you want to achieve lucid dreaming.

  3. I will do at least 30-50 reality checks every day.

  4. Have a sleeping rhythm. That means I will be going to sleep at the same time every night. I'll also wake up at the same time every morning as well.

  5. I will also experiment with some techniques to induce lucid dreams.

  6. I won't look at any screens (computer, TV or even phone) 30-60 minutes before bed, because I've read that this helps a lot. For those 30-60 minutes I will be meditating.

  7. Talk, read and think about lucid dreaming constantly.

  8. Occasionally I will listen to lucid dreaming binaural beats and hypnosis.

  9. I will use an app called Awoken. This app is designed to help you achieve lucid dreaming. It reminds you to do reality checks throughout the day and it has a dream journal, which is where I will be writing down all my dreams when I wake up.

  10. I will experiment with the supplement called Dream Leaf, I already ordered it and I will use it when it arrives. I will take it only once or at most twice every week to see if it changes anything about my dreams and the ability to become lucid.

UPDATE: I do not recommend Dream Leaf, because it affected my dream recall negatively in the long run. But, I did have my first lucid dream because of it.

Tracking All My Progress!

So, like I've mentioned before, I will be tracking all my progress and I'll be posting about it every day here on Steemit.

Also, after I achieve lucid dreaming, I won't stop posting about my experiences for some time still.

When I achieve my goal, I will be writing down a lot of experiences that I have inside the dream world, and I'll experiment if it's actually possible to improve real life skills while sleeping.

I set a personal goal to achieve lucid dreaming within 30 days starting today. I'm really excited and hopefully I'll be able to do that even faster than 30 days!

This is not the first time I try to achieve lucid dreaming, but I never took it seriously and I was too inconsistent, so I never even came close to becoming lucid.

But this time I'm gonna SMASH it and record the whole journey on this blockchain!

UPDATE: I achieved lucid dreaming for the first time on day 12

Hey @trendo

Dreams are definitely powerful things and people can gauge an awful lot from them. I get a reoccurring dream of being on an aeroplane and it's going along fine (has no sides for some weird reason) and then starts rotating or flying vertically. It always feels real.

I'll be following with interest.

Gaz

Woah rotating and flying vertically sounds quite intense! Like a roller coaster, haha.

It is intense but I'm kind of aware of the dream by then. I get that 'here we go again' feeling.

The weird bit is flying in a plane with no sides!

Haha, here we go again. Hey, if you become aware of your dream, you can take control of it!

I guess that's true. I will have to keep up with your posts to see how!

Wonderful write-up. I feel great that you managed to lucid dream! It's an awesome journey!

Yeah, I'm trying my best to lucid dream!

Hmmm, interesting post. I didn't know anything about lucid dreaming, but I had heard of it. The explanation at the end really helped. Are you in full control of the dream? And does it obey the laws of normal physics?

I don't lucid dream very often because I'm still learning how to do it. But when I do lucid dream, I still don't have the best control, it also takes time to learn how to be in control. But yeah, I had a few dreams where I had a lot of control and I was able to do some crazy shit. The laws don't exist in the dream world. You are literally the god who can do whatever you want.
