WEEK 12- FEAST WEEK

Ahhh the greatest week of the football season. Great food, and two+ hours to shit talk your cousins football team, because yes were far enough along to say who sucks or not. All right enough BS, lets dig right into the TURKEY DAY MATCHUPS!

LIONS VS. VIKINGS
The best matchup on Turkey day, what can ya say. Case Keenum is the real deal. Yes, you heard it from me. Matthew Stafford has been on a tear, but last matchup earlier this year, the Vikings held him to only one touchdown. That changes this week. On the road, the Viking defense has giving up at least two touchdowns in each game. I say this happens through the air, twice. Expect this to be a hard fought game as it usually ends up being.

FANTASY: Each week for the rest of the season, I will give you a few players from each team and my thoughts on SIT/START. If I do not cover your player, just comment below and I will give you my thoughts.

THE CHOSEN ONES:
Matthew Stafford- I expect Stafford to do what he always does, throw the ball a lot. Run game is dismal besides the occasional 12 yard run by Abdullah. Why wouldn’t you start him?

Case Keenum- Ah yes, Case this week. I would say his upside looks like a couple touchdowns. The average Lions defense will allow the Vikings to run. Start him if you have no other choice.

Ameer Abdullah- He’s scored TDS the last few weeks. Always a chance he takes one in, chance he doesn’t. (P.S Ameer is a fantasy nightmare) PPR only.

Jerrick Mckinnon- One of my favorite backs in the league (Do not care if you disagree); I expect Mckinnon and Murray to share the workload. Mckinnon runs or takes a screen in against the average DET defense. Mckinnon is must start for me. (Mainly because I despise Murray’s blocking ability)

Golden Tate: Limited last week against the bears, it will be either Tate or Jones this week. I do not feel the Vikings secondary is into letting more than one WR go off. Moderate upside, depending on who Xavier Rhodes covers. (Reminder Robert Woods still had a good week!)

Adam Thielen: I really don’t feel the need to elaborate. Start the guy.

CHARGERS VS. COWBOYS
I have to imagine the Chargers win was fulfilling as taking candy from a baby. Who the hell starts Peterman in a hunt for the playoffs? (Okay, end rant). This week will not fare well for Chargers. The Cowboys will dominate. Jaylon Smith is looking like he is back at Notre Dame, and DeMarcus Lawrence ends up feasting on two Thanksgiving meals.

THE CHOSEN ONES:
Dak Prescott: Terrible, Terrible, Terrible week last week against the NFL’S powerhouse. He comes back strong. Against the Chargers, put him in the lineup.

Phillip Rivers: I expect the Chargers to try to keep pace with the Cowboys this week. This could inflate Rivers average numbers. Unless you have better, he is always starting.

Alfred Morris: The veteran has been well rested for two years, showed signs of life against a stingy Eagles team. Although the Cowboys are high on Rod Smith, you cannot deny effectiveness. I like him this week, especially if the Cowboys get off to a hot start. (P.S Chargers have worse rush defense in the league)

Melvin Gordon: He’s been up and down for the last 5 weeks with a touchdown in 3 of the 5 games. Either he has a good day or not. Evaluate your other matchups before an auto lock for starting him.

Keenan Allen: Blew up last week, he will be a factor once again this week up against the 14th ranked Dallas defense.

Dez Bryant: Chargers have the 8th ranked pass defense. Bryant will draw the most coverage, hes been average all year not eclipsing 100 yards once. If you are not in PPR league, you have a better option at WR. Yes, upside this week, but no. I would rather risk the upside with another WR.

GIANTS VS. REDSKINS
The most exciting matchup of the week, well it could have been. Giants and the Redskins both decimated by injuries throughout the season. Either way the Redskins have more firepower left on the field. The Giants will go up against a not so great Norman secondary, but luckily, for the Skins, there is not anyone to catch the ball. No brainer here, the Redskins should come out on top.

THE CHOSEN ONES:
Eli Manning: Not too much upside here this week in Washington. Only 14 TDS on the year, and with lack luster WR corps, I hope you snapped another fantasy QB option.

Kirk Cousins: Playing a team that ranks 29th in total pass defense, expect a strong day from Cousins. However, mind you, the Giants defense is just as bad against the run. He could lose a TD to the run game, but either way a strong play against a mess of a team.

Orleans Darkwa: He has clearly emerged as the leader of the backfield with 20 rush attempts last week. If Manning struggles early, expect them to try to break up Washington’s defense with the rush. Either way, this is still not a strong play this week.

Samaje Perine: After the injury to Thompson, the Redskins went to rely on Perine. BOYYYY did he deliver. He averaged 5.1 yards a carry. Go to waiver wire, pick him up, insert into line up.

Evan Engram: He was quiet last week. I do not expect this to linger into this week. As Shepard looks to be dealing with Migraines again, Roger Lewis being the top WR option. Engram is a TE1, with upside every week.

Josh Doctson/ Jamison Crowder: Putting both WRs for the Redskins here. They received 7 and 8 targets respectively last week, with Crowder coming down with more balls. I will take Crowder for the safer play this, leaving most of Doctson upside to big play ability.
