Firestone Country Club – Akron, Ohio
The PGA Tour finds its way back to Ohio for the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, hosted by the Firestone Country Club. The Bridgestone Invitational will be played on the 7400-yard, par-70 course at Firestone. Dustin Johnson is the defending champion, who shot a -6 to beat Scott Piercy by one stroke and claimed the $1.62 million prize. Johnson will be in the field for this year’s tournament. He and Jordan Spieth are heavily favored.
The current weather forecast for Akron has high temperatures in the low 80s for Thursday and Friday, with likely rain on both days. Saturday and Sunday has temperatures in the mid to upper 70s with a very slight chance of rain both days. Double-digit wind speeds are expected on Friday and Saturday.

Player Selections and Multiplier
For the weekly Steemit Scramble, select three golfers from the tournament field that you believe will perform well and finish highest in the final standings. Based on the final results of the tournament, golfers will be assigned the following points:

THIS WEEK’S 2x MULTIPLIER: _Pick the TOTAL NUMBER OF BIRDIES BY DUSTIN JOHNSON for the tournament. The closest participant(s) to the multiplier statistic will earn DOUBLE their total points for the week. Bonus points will be added to the contestants’ point totals AFTER the multiplier has been calculated.
AN ADDITIONAL 5-POINT BONUS will be awarded to the winner of the tournament.
AN ADDITIONAL 5-POINT BONUS will be awarded to all unique golfer combinations. If two or more contestants choose the same golfers for the contest, then the contestant who entered their selections first will receive the bonus. Contestants that do not select a unique golfer combination will be ineligible for the multiplier and winning golfer bonuses.
How to Play and Win
In a comment on this post, submit your three golfers and your prediction for the weekly multiplier. ONLY ONE COMMENT SUBMISSION PER USER, PER WEEKLY CONTEST.
Submissions will be confirmed at the start of the weekly tournament. ALL CONTEST SUBMISSIONS MUST BE ENTERED PRIOR TO THE SCHEDULED START TIME AT THE FIRST TEE ON THE OPENING DAY OF THE TOURNAMENT. Late submissions and any edits after that time will be automatically disqualified from the weekly contest.
There will be three winners each week. The winners will be the contestants with the most points gained, based on the points distribution outlined in Player Selections and Multiplier. All point totals earned from all contestants will carry over for the monthly and season-long contests.
The contest is funded with a minimum pot of 10 SBD. The total weekly pot distribution will be divided as follows:

In the event of a tie, the portion of the pot allocated to the tying contestants will be split between them.
