David Luiz can finally leave
Chelsea defenses do not have a good year. The Blues sound terrible, but defense is the worst of their lines. Antonio Conte's players like, and worse, they can lose stupid goals. The quintessence of their impotence was the meeting with Tottenham, where the Roosters exposed their gaps to the simplest of possible moves. Chelsea players were not able to knock the ball out of the goal area, even if they had a 4-times numerical advantage over Dele Allim. We can assume that The Blues would be doing a bit better if they regularly performed in their colors, David Luiz. The Brazilian, however, plays very rarely, only a few times since October. Why? Official sources speak of two injuries and just a few unexplained absences that may have resulted from the Conte dispute. However, we have every right to assume that Luiz was able to play in most of these meetings, but the Italian manager just got out of it. We will probably never know how it really was, and soon we may not have any reason to think about it, because it is supposed that the Brazilian will leave London.
According to goal.com, AS Monaco is interested in bringing David Luiza and soon he can make a specific offer to him. What sum of money can we expect? A club from the Duchy should not pay more than 30 million euros for it, especially considering that the Brazilian did not play this season very much. Besides, he is already thirty years old, so he has exceeded this conventionally accepted boundary, for which players are beginning to drastically cheat.
Bringing Luiz would be a great move from Monaco. First of all, the Brazilian knows the realities of the local football because he played in Paris Saint - Germain. During these two seasons, he certainly learned more or less the French language, so he should not have any problems with getting along in the cloakroom. In addition, Monaco focuses on young people, and it would be useful for someone who will keep her in check with his experience. For now, such responsibility often falls on Glik, but if he gave the Pole a pair of a Brazilian, both would be great at leading the team on the pitch. Luiz himself should not have problems with leaving, unless Antonio Conte is replaced in the summer by someone who convinces the middle defensor to stay in the Chelsea ranks, explaining to him that he will be more needed at Stamford Bridge than in the Principality.
