NFL Week 3 Waiver Wire Adds

in #sports5 years ago
Week 2 was pretty rough(OK almost a complete disaster) for QBs, but some other players are emerging and their available in most leagues.

Waiver Wire Adds

QBs

Daniel Jones

It's not the prettiest add, but desperate times call for desperate measures. He has some really tough matchups, but he has enough good matchups to make it worth it.

Mason Rudolph

Temper expectations, but Rudolph looked good in preseason and during the second half of last week's game. There's a non-zero chance Rudolph is better for this offense(this year) than Roethlisberger who was terrible before leaving with his elbow injury.

RBs

Raheem Mostert

This is one of those offenses that always will be a RBBC, but it doesn't mean it can't support multiple RBs like we saw last week. He also has 'skies-the-limit' type potential if something does happen to Matt Breida.

Frank Gore

Old man Gore. He's on a goodish offense that loves to run the ball. My guess is Devin Singletary is out for a few weeks(purely a non-medical guess) given how Singletary looked when he pulled up lame. T.J. Yeldon may be worth a stash too.

Chris Thompson

Thompson will never be a plug-and-play RB, but he's a guy you can throw in your flex spot each week and get 10 points with a TD here and there.

WRs

Terry McLaurin

He's crushing every usage metric we use. He's become a stable WR3. #1 WR priority.

Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson

This might be a headache on a week to week basis, but these guys are on the field with Patrick Mahomes so they're always dangerous.

TEs

Greg Olsen

Olsen took a hit if Cam Newton misses time, but he's a solid TE.

Jordan Reed

He's not fun to trust, but he's a must play...when he plays

Chris Herndon

He'll be coming back from suspension in a couple weeks and you want to get him before your competition wises up.

Buy-Lows

Zach Ertz

He hasn't posted a huge week, but he's among the league leaders in targets and now it looks like the Philadelphia WRs are going to miss some time. It's not that you're going to get him for peanuts, but his value is likely to shott up after this week.

John Ross

It's the Andy Dalton/Cincinnati bad-taste-in-the-fantasy-mouth thing. People don't like having parts of this offense, but Ross has been killing it. You're not paying what you should for the league leader in receiving yards.

Curtis Samuel

Between disappointing performances and Cam Newton, now is the time to buy Samuel. He's been targeted and the air yards are there. It just hasn't come together yet. Get Samuel, and enjoy it later in the year.

Will Fuller

It's only a matter of time before Fuller explodes. He's still an important part of the offense and should bounce back.

D.K. Metcalf

He's raking up air yards with Russell Wilson and this is a couple weeks after a small procedure on his knee.
