PORT ST. LUCIE, Florida. - The veteran Dominican Jose Reyes was presented at the weekend to the Mets ready to resume his role as super utility of New Yorkers and happy, because his dream to continue in the organization with which he grew and consolidated as a stellar was fulfilled .

"To be honest, I was not thinking about that at all," Reyes said of free agency. "I did not want to get too involved in my head, I knew that in the bottom of my heart I wanted to stay here, but I did not want to go crazy either, I hope I can finish my career with this uniform."

"As a player, those things happen," Reyes said. "I know it was hard for me that first part of the season, but I never gave up, I kept working and trying to improve and I feel that in the second half I did it, I hope it continues like this this year."
