'It's time to turn the page' - Valverde tired of discussing Barca's Neymar pursuit
Neymar's future has been a hot topic of discussion and gossip for days on end. Especially now, after Barcelona star Lionel Messi disclosed this week he does not know if his side, Barcelona did everything possible to return his former team-mate back to Camp Nou.
Rumour has it that the Brazil international, Neymar has been so desperate to return to his former club, two years after leaving for Ligue 1 giants PSG in a world-record deal, but nothing materialised before the September 2 deadline.
Lionel Messi, his former teammate at Camp Nou questioned if the club did all possible to re-sign the PSG star but the manager, Ernesto Valverde was unwilling to discuss the issue anymore and is desirous to move on from the Neymar transfer saga. He believes that this could have very negative effect on his club.
We've been speaking about Neymar before the window, during it and now afterwards we're still talking about him.
It's time to turn the page. He's a very good player. The market closed days ago.
He's a great player, I know everyone has their opinion. Talking about these things is bad for the club. I do not like it.
Barcelona are rumoured to have offered PSG cash plus players for Neymar's release but all to no avail.
Honestly it is high time, all I have read about for the last two months have been majorly news of Neymar and the purported transfer to Barcelona. Please give me a break.
