Taylor Lewan suspended for four games over failed PED test
Sport is an activity that we want to be as fair as possible and this makes room for many rules and especially the one against drugs. With this, it gives us the feeling that a good sportsman got the reward he truly deserves after being crowned winner or runner-up.
Lately, some athletes have failed PED (performance-enhancing drugs) test. The recent one is by Titans left tackle, Taylor Lewan.
National Football League (NFL) banned the player for failing drug test which is against the game of sport and punishable once found guilty.
Lewan posted a short video on Twitter to explain himself saying he wants the whole truth to come from him.
In the video, he said
"I want everybody to know that I've never taken this supplement knowingly and I've never cheated the game, and I never will".
Lewan denied as false the claim that he took drugs to enhance his performance. He went as far as carrying out a polygraph test to prove his innocence.
A polygraph is a machine designed to detect and record changes in physiological characteristics, such as a person's pulse and breathing rates, used especially as a lie detector. source
Lewan has apologized to the Titans, saying he has never cheated himself, the team or the whole sport entirely. He promised to release more report to prove his innocence.
For now, he will miss Titans next four games against Eagles, Patriots, Steelers and Bears.
