Winners duties

We are now asking all winners to make a post similar to the July winners one below, this is being done to protect our kind sponsors from any account not acting in the spirit of the #SPUD4STEEM message.
https://steemit.com/spud4steem/@ayushikumari/i-have-won-the-first-spud4steem

A simple post with a picture of you holding up a piece of paper with your account name & todays date - a message should state " i won XXX prize in #spud4steem"

The above will need to be done in the 24 hours following the confirmed winners list which will be released this time tomorrow -once all 5 Winners have posted this - sponsors will be asked to start issuing prizes :)

I share the same opinion of @crypto.piotr when he said:

I found it little strange to be "lectured" by user who has almost no history, no followers, pretty much didn't engage with anyone within past year.

But okey, let's say that you have right to lecture people who brought more value into steem blockchain than you ever did.

#spud4steem is about showing trust and commitment to Steem Blockchain.

This is accomplished by maintaining constant daily activity on the platform. You should never abandon an account and retake it only for eventual interests.

@creativeblue is an account which has been active for years without stopping its activity. I have brought value to Steem since I daily do manual curation of content, I belong to communities with thousands of followers, curation trails, I make comments daily and I create commitment with other users.

In contrast, we can see @florianghe: this account had no activity for more than 8 months. It did not grow. It did not comment. It did not create commitment or bring value to the chain.

@creativeblue, in a supreme effort, managed the resources necessary to qualify for the first prize, which will be used to continue to do better manual curation, continue to create engagement, support content creators and bring greater value to the blockchain .

Hello @creativeblue,
If you will read the rules of the contest, you will see that at point 6:

Your post on 1 August must show screenshots of your account before and after your power up, use the tag #spud4steem - please note daily claimed rewards are not included in any % increase calculations

As you can see you did NOT follow the rules and terms of #spud4steem as you did NOT show a screnshot of your account before power up!
In this case you DO NOT QUALIFY for the contest.. and of course for the first prize!

I would like to know your thoughts in this matter...

Just curious,

Yours, George

@georgemales:

I see you a little upset.

SPUD4STEEM is a beautiful initiative, which only seeks to bring greater benefit and value to the Steem blockchain, motivating the powerup.

All the participants felt that spirit and did powerup within their means.

I do not understand why you insist on demanding a screenshot as a determining factor when the true essence of SPUD4STEEM is much greater than that and was fully achieved by all the participants.

The objective of the initiative was fulfilled. Please don't ruin the beauty of the contest.

Dear @georgemales

And I would like to know your thoughts regarding to @creativeblue comment.

So far - instead of replying to his comment, you decided to redirect attention elsewhere. Could you perhaps focus on words written by @creativeblue?

It's embarassing to witness conflict which you started. Simply because you're failing to accept that someone else won 1st place and person you supported won 2nd.

Anyway, I'm personally glad to see final results which proved clearly thar you're wrong (or perhaps you would claim, that even people organizing SPUD were wrong with their final judgement)?

It's amazing, that such a great initiative is being turned into such a huge mess.

Regards,
Piotr

Hey @kiwiscanfly, @xpilar, @reflektor, @hingsten, @bippe, @steemcurator01, @ciska, @kiwi-crypto, @steem-supporter, @stephenkendal & @steemchiller

How about the structure of the post @creativeblue published on August 1, 2020? Wasn't the post supposed to have a screenshot showing the STEEM Power before the power up like stated in the guidelines HERE - #6 to be more precise? You used the word 'must' therefore it should be mandatory, it's not 'may' or 'can.'

Not to mention the way the power up was made in fractions & at different times, late into the night, just to be sure he will get the 1st place which in my humble opinion, defeats the whole purpose of the contest.

I for one didn't want to look at what the other participants did, yesterday, the whole day. I have just looked at the #spud4steem tag and I do not believe what @creativeblue did should be taken into consideration and be deemed as valid.

It has been brought into our attention that our community member (@creativeblue) has been accused of "unethical" actions by @florianghe

After going through terms and conditions of SPUD we see no rules that has been "broken" by this user. All power ups took place on 1st of August. And public terms and conditions didn't forbid anyone from breaking power up into few "phases". What matters is total sum of powered up STEEM.

Otherwise it should be stated in obvious way, that only one power-up matters. Can you imagine situation, where you would power up 1500 steem and few minutes later you would power up another 500 steem - and you would be told by some frustrated person that your second power up doesn't matter.

Congratulation for having 2nd place and I wish to chill out little bit. It absolutely not worth your anger and frustration.

Regards

Hello @project.hope,
If you will read the rules of the contest, you will see that at point 6:

Your post on 1 August must show screenshots of your account before and after your power up, use the tag #spud4steem - please note daily claimed rewards are not included in any % increase calculations
Your community member (@creativeblue) did not show a printscreen before the power up and as you can see the rules states it's a MUST to show one..

I would like to know your thoughts in this matter...

Just curious,

Yours, George

Hello @georgemales:

We would have to balance it out and determine who represents the biggest contribution to the blockchain: an inactive account that injected 2K steem or a fully active account which brought fresh 8K steem to the blockchain.

We would have to assess Who showed the most confidence in Steem Blockchain. Who has brought more value to Steem.

Dear George, @georgemales

I'm not sure if you're serious or are you just trolling.

Even if user @creativeblue didn't provide a printscreen proving amount of STEEM before powerdown, then you can easily verify it.

Just a moment ago you had a problem that @creativeblue didn't power at once and he broke it into 3 phases. Now this ....

I'm big fan of sports, and your excused remind me of those athletes who cannot accept 2nd place and they will come up with any pathetic excuses. It's really sad to watch.

This case isn't worth our time any more. Good luck to you and I'm sorry to see level of your frustration.

@project.hope team
