This video asks the question that we have all always been thinking: How can the Star Wars characters speak so many languages?
The Star Wars universe is full of mysteries. After decades, we still do not know why the majority. However, a new parody brings to light a very important one that many of us have asked ourselves: How is it possible that the Star Wars characters speak so many languages? What do the roars of Chewbacca mean? What is R2D2 saying?
A new video of the Saturday Night Live program asks these same questions, and is actually very funny. It's a silly video - remember that Saturday Night Live is a comedy show - but well done. Even JJ Abrams makes a small appearance and jokes about all the new Star Wars movies we will see in the future.
The video focuses on a group of smugglers, led by a character who looks a lot like Han Solo, who want to retrieve a Rebel pilot from what appears to be a Hutt (although he does not come close to Jabba's greatness). The fake Solo starts talking to negotiate the freedom of the pilot. After several interactions with creatures speaking different languages, a person dressed as Obi-Wan (who was wise) says what we were all thinking: "How do they speak so many languages? This is crazy. I only speak human. "
From this, other questions also arise: Why does Jabba have subtitles but Chewbacca and the droids do not? Anyway, it will be one of those Star Wars things that ordinary humans will never understand.
