The Diary Game [April 1, 2026] // A Quiet Day of Work, Cement Dust, and Late-Night Content

Today was not one of those big, eventful days. It was simple, slow in some parts, and busy in others. But I think that is perfectly fine. Not every day has to be dramatic. Some days, you just show up, do what needs to be done, and close your eyes at night knowing you were responsible. That was today for me.

I woke up and got myself ready without much delay. My mind was already set on heading to the block industry early enough to make sure things were in order. The block industry is something I take seriously because when you are dealing with production, every small mistake can cost you time and money. So I dressed up and made my way there.

When I arrived at the industry, the first thing I had to oversee was the restocking of cement bags. We use Dangote 3X cement, and today we needed to bring in a fresh supply. I stood there and made sure the bags were properly arranged and stacked. Watching those heavy bags being moved and piled up in neat, tall columns actually gave me a sense of order.

It is something about seeing materials properly arranged that makes a worksite feel like it is under control. I counted the bags and confirmed the numbers were right. You cannot afford to be careless with inventory, especially when you have a production target for the day.

After the cement was sorted, the next task was the mixing. The workers loaded the mixer with the right proportions of cement and sand, and then water was carefully added. I watched closely as the mixture was turned and blended inside the large steel drum.

The sound of the mixer running and the sight of the wet mortar being stirred is something you just get used to when you are around a block industry long enough. I made sure the mix was consistent and not too watery. A bad mix gives you bad blocks and bad kerbs, and that is not something I was going to allow today.

Once the mixing was good, the next stage was the actual production. Today, our target was to use 19 bags of cement and produce around 270 kerbs. I monitored the block-making machine as the workers fed the mixture into the mould, pressed it down, and released the freshly formed kerbs onto boards.

It is a physical and repetitive process, and I have a lot of respect for the men who do this work with their hands every single day. The freshly made kerbs were then carefully arranged outside on the open ground to dry under the sun. The rows of drying kerbs stretching across the yard always remind me that something real and useful is being built, one block at a time.

By the time everything was running smoothly, I was satisfied. We hit our numbers, the cement was properly used, and the workers knew what they were doing. I do not have to be on their neck all the time, but my presence keeps things on track. That is part of the work.

The afternoon was quieter. I did not do much physically. I rested a little and waited for the evening to come around.

In the evening, I cooked spaghetti and ate. It was a simple meal but it was warm and filling, and after a day of walking around a dusty worksite, it felt like exactly what I needed. There is something satisfying about eating something you made yourself at the end of a long day.

After eating, I sat down with my phone and switched into content creator mode. I worked on editing some videos for my Facebook page, the one dedicated to daily Jesus prayer content. I take that page seriously because I believe in what I am doing with it. The goal is to reach people with short, powerful prayer videos, and I am always trying to make each one better than the last. I spent time getting the edits right and making sure the content was ready to go out.

I also took some time to look at my YouTube channel. I have a video up titled Snow White Was Never A Princess, The Story Disney Buried, and I checked the analytics. The numbers are still very small, just 13 views and 0.3 watch hours since it went public today. It is a bit discouraging to look at, I will not lie. But I know building an audience takes time, and I have to keep pushing. I also went on Steemit, made some posts, and replied to a few comments from people on the platform.

By the time I was done with all of that, the night had come fully. I reflected on the day and realised that even though it was not a flashy day, I had done something useful with almost every hour. The cement was counted, the kerbs were made, my body was fed, and my content was worked on. That is enough for one day.

❤️I hope you enjoyed very much by reading my post. Thank you so much for reading till the end❤️
