The Diary Game: Going For An Impromptu Work (24/12/2025)

I had a little gig this morning to go and mix sound for one of my old time client. It was an impromptu work because I wanted to take today and tomorrow to rest but then as work called, I had to respond. I went there and when I saw the set up, I began to do my job and after I was done, I sat down with the players to observe if the sound is quality enough.

I stayed there till afternoon with them even when I was getting bored being there. I stood there and by 2pm, I told them I will be going, so the head of the band crew came in and gave me my payment then I went back home. My daughter was playing when I got home so I sneaked in and I ate my breakfast/lunch before I went outside to call her.

When I called her, she told me she wanted to lick ice cream, I know she has been asking me for this for a long time now. Fortunately for me, I saw the ice cream guy about to pass by so I called and then sent someone to go buy me ice cream so I could give to my daughter.

When I got the ice cream, I gave my daughter and told her to just give me some time because I wanted to step out so I could go and buy few things I would need tomorrow. While I was still getting the items, I saw a barrow pusher with so many fine shorts, I called him and bought 2. It will help me to at least be changing shorts at home.

I went back home after shopping and I was so tired so I went to the bed and slept small and when I finally woke up, I went on a walk with my daughter. She was asking me to buy literally everything she saw on the road. I bought the few ones I could and then we came back when it was really getting too late in the evening time.

When we came back to the house, I warmed the rice with beans in the house and then we ate, we ate much because it was evening already and I had to eat and go to bed early as well.

After we finished eating, I took my bath and also told my daughter to bath so that she can go to bed. I was on my reading seat when I felt like sleeping so I wrote my diary first before doing that. Merry Christmas in advance, my friends.
