The Diary Game: A Day Of Service, Unity And Joy(4/4/2026)

Good day my amazing Steemians!! 🌸
How has your holiday been so far? I truly hope it has been filled with rest, joy, and beautiful moments. As for me, mine has been quite eventful especially my Saturday! It was one of those days that leaves your heart full and your body tired in the most satisfying way. Let me take you through how it all unfolded.
Saturday started very early for us. We woke up with purpose and excitement because we had something special ahead our site clearing! This is not just any land, but the very place where our church will begin to hold activities starting this Sunday.

Even more exciting, our 7th anniversary is just around the corner, and from the 12th of this month, this land will officially become our permanent worship site. Thinking about it alone filled my heart with so much joy and gratitude.
So, my hubby and I stepped out, ready to do the Lord’s work. When we got there, I was honestly overwhelmed in a good way. We met so many church members already on ground, joyfully and energetically working. It was such a beautiful sight to behold. Seeing people come out that early, with smiles and willingness to serve, gave me goosebumps. It reminded me of what true unity and love for God really looks like.
After exchanging warm greetings, we joined in. Now, let me confess I am not exactly a pro when it comes to handling tools like hoes and cutlasses 😅 but I didn’t let that stop me! While my hubby handled the tougher part of cutting, I supported by gathering and packing the weeds. Everyone played their part, and the teamwork was simply amazing.

There was laughter, encouragement, and a shared sense of purpose that kept us all going.
Slowly but surely, the land began to transform right before our eyes. What was once overgrown became clean and ready a fresh ground for something great. It was such a fulfilling moment for everyone.
After all the hard work, we gathered together to relax and share a meal. Ahh… the joy! The laughter, the gist, the bonding it felt like one big happy family. Moments like that are truly priceless. There’s something special about eating and laughing together after working with one heart.

Before leaving, we all held hands in unity and committed our upcoming anniversary into God’s hands. We also prayed for mission partners who would be willing to support the building of God’s house on this land. It was a powerful and touching moment. Knowing that a temporary structure will be put up soon made it even more exciting this dream is becoming reality I must say.

Of course, we couldn’t let the day end without capturing memories. We took group pictures to mark such a special and historic day before heading back to our various homes, tired but deeply fulfilled.

Honestly, it was such a beautiful and memorable day. A day filled with service, love, unity, and hope for what is to come. My heart is still full just thinking about it.
