The Diary Game: Finding Joy In Everyday life(18/2/2026)

I was in class when it all started. When I left home earlier, I noticed the sky looking a bit moody and the wind was picking up, but I wasn’t entirely convinced it would actually rain. Little did I know that nature was just preparing for a dramatic entrance!

The wind became very strong, pulling at rooftops and bending trees so much that it almost looked like they would snap. The classroom suddenly became dark because the power supply was interrupted due to the wind. Everywhere felt tense and quiet. Our lecturer even made an attempt to end the class early, but before we knew it, the rain began pouring heavily.
Sitting close to the window, I enjoyed the cool breeze that rushed in. That sweet, cold air after months of heat? Absolutely refreshing! There’s just something peaceful about watching heavy rain fall while you’re safely indoors. It rained for about an hour, steady and powerful, washing the earth and calming the atmosphere.
When it finally stopped, we all hurried home before it decided to start again. I got home feeling quite cold, so the first thing I did was take a warm bath. That warm water felt heavenly against my skin after the chilly breeze. I had dinner afterward and slept so peacefully through the night. The rain definitely gave me one of the best nights of sleep I’ve had in a while.
This morning, I woke up feeling refreshed and energized. I started my day with thanksgiving because truly, there’s always something to be grateful for.

After that, it was kitchen time! I prepared my son’s lunch boiled spaghetti with fish stew. I carefully deboned the fish and scattered it into the stew so he could eat comfortably without worrying about bones. In just a few minutes, lunch was ready.

Then I woke him up, gave him a bath, and prepared his breakfast. He had oats this morning simple, warm, and nourishing. After he finished eating, I dressed him up neatly, packed his lunch, and we set off for school.

On my way back home, I could clearly see the impact of yesterday’s rain. Some parts of the road were flooded, little puddles here and there, and the air still carried that fresh “after-rain” smell. It really showed how massive the downpour was.

When I got home, I prepared breakfast for myself and later sat down to handle some assignments. After focusing for a while, I decided to take a short nap I woke up later in the evening and headed back to the kitchen to prepare dinner for my family.

All in all, it has been a beautiful and productive week. Between the refreshing rain, peaceful sleep, caring for my family, and staying on top of my responsibilities, I can truly say I am grateful.
